In the heart of Geelong there’s a new all-in-one Café, Restaurant and Tea Lounge called Rook Sri Lankan Fusion and it is more than you expect.
Rook is run by Yeti Kumbukage, and his crew, whose wish to start a business and make people happy has been his businesses driving force. Yeti states that “I strive to talk to each customer, offering a warm chat and customer service to brighten their day… We strive for an exceptional experience in our cafe that has a little bit of culture and personality, which makes you happy from the moment you walk in.”
The food at Rook is Sri Lankan cuisine fused with Australian elements to create some original and inspired dishes (like the Eggs Benedict Hoppers shown in the video). Every meal and drink is specially selected for their unique characteristics, such as local handmade products from Moorabool Valley Chocolate, a local chocolatier. Every item has a story behind it, and Yeti is happy to share that story with all of Rook’s customers.
What makes Rook’s customer service exceptional, is the way Yeti and his crew actively talk to every customer and enquire as to how they can provide a comforting and happy experience for each customer. Yeti says “I train my staff and myself to achieve more, to go that extra mile to serve our customers.
